A native of Woodstock, NY, Sita grew up surrounded by art and nature. She always planned to be an artist but got sidetracked for several years and began painting in earnest ten years ago. Sita is attracted to the interpretation of nature through the medium of oil paint and is always trying to learn how to best capture the abstraction of the natural world on a two dimensional surface. She currently lives and works in Oakland, CA.
